Payment:
Please pay via PayPal. because: It is a serious eBay owened American company. You never give the credit card number to foreign partners. The order is insured by PayPal. It is also a save and fast method for us, (Bonne-Provence) to collect the money. PayPal has over 175 Mil. users. The transfer on money from the States to Europe ist quite easy. The transaction is also insured for more than 500 US $.
But you can also pay via SWIFT. Then you receive my IBAN an BIC codes.
Some customer want to send a cheque with the post to Germany. This is also possible. You will then receive the correct postal adress in Germany for sending the cheque with an letter. But we have to pay some special cheque fees at the bank and therefore you have to pay 15 US $ extra for a cheque payment.
Customs handling: Until 10 yards, the customs value stays below 200 US $. This is an informal consumption entry. Below 2000 US $ it is a consumption entry. There the importer is the shipper (DHL) and the customs handling is done at DHL at U.S. air-hub in Wilmington Air Park in Ohio.
Very seldom you are then asked by DHL to pay app. 12 per cent customs fees. This happend only in 8 cases out of more than 740 shipments. (It was not related to the value of the goods or the state in the USA. It was 400 US $ for "AZ", 95 US $ for "CT", 180 US $ and twice 370 US $ for "NY", 100 US $, 650 US $ for "CA" and 500 US $ for "MA")
Shipment: We ship from Germany. The shipments are done via DHL-Express as an AIR-FREIGHT parcel. The goods will arrive in about 4 to 7 workdays after entry of the payment. For DHL you get a tracking number to follow the parcel on its way from Germany to the States or Canada.
e-mails: You get immediatly after the order the automatic order e-mail. Later (depends on the time of day in Germany) you receive the detailed order confirmation with the details of payment. (either PayPal or SWIFT or my Adress for the cheque to send to)
When we send the goods, we also send you an informational e-mail about the status.
Price: You pay in my shop the price per yard. The freight-costs from Germany to the States, Canada and Australia are caculated and added to your bill seperatly. (40 US $ flat rate for AIR-FRIEGHT)
Importer: The buyer (you) is not the importer of the goods. The importer ist Bonne-Provence. (or DHL - see above) Sometimes you have to pay the import-taxes for this cotton fabrics. (about 12% of the value) DHL asks you when delivering the parcel pay this amount to the DHL driver.
Stock: All fabrics are in stock and can delivered very fast. I can even ship bigger qualities within 2 or 3 weeks. But then you get an PayPal payment email short before the shipment of the total order. (you do not pay long in advance and then have to wait and email and wait ect.)
Canadian customers: The freight costs are 100% the same than for the US. I can also give you a PayPal payment message in CAN $. I use the actual exchange rate used by PayPal for the conversion into CAN $. Please add this option, if you want to, in the comment line of the order.
